Frome Festival Literary Event – Tea Time Treats!!

TEATIME TREATS !!
LOTS OF LOCAL TALENT AT FROME LIBRARY
TEATIME TREATS at Frome Library was a FREE event for all Festival-goers!!

People interested in children’s books, came along to Frome Library at 4pm for tea, cake and a chance to meet a wealth of (local) talent from the world of children’s literature. Participating writers and illustrators were Mike Brownlow, Annabel Claridge, David Gatward, Kate Maryon, Helen Moore, Emma Newman, Jeremy de Quidt and Joffre White, Sholto Walker and Andrew Saunders.

ABC Day ~ Authors and Books for Children Day

Hunting Raven Bookshop and Frome Library
teamed up for a new and exciting
Frome Festival event – the first ever Children’s Literature Day

Local schools, home educators and pro-active parents were invited to bring their youngsters to meet
successful local West Country children’s authors on Thursday 14 July.
The ABC Day hosted sessions at two venues;
Holy Trinity Church Hall, Trinity Street  BA11 3DE  and  Frome Library, Justice Lane  BA11 1BE.

Peter Bently ~ The Great Dog Bottom Swap, Vampire School and The Great Sheep Shenanigans
Emma Craigie
~ Chocolate Cake with Hitler

Jeremy de Quidt ~ The Toymaker
Rachel Ward
~ Numbers trilogy

Brenda Williams ~ Home for a Tiger, Home for a Bear

Each author session was aimed at a specific age group.
and many enthusiastic groups came from our local schools.
